Half of English schools will compete in the new Sainsbury's School Games competition, Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt has announced today.

Andrew will be competing for Scotland West in the boys volleyball events starting at 12:00 on Thursday 2 September 2010.
Andrew has competed in the Sainsbury's UK School Games every year since 2007 and has been part of the winning team. He has also been named 'Best Passer' at a previous games and will be hoping for a repeat performance in the team again this year. Andrew was part of the Scotland Under 19 squad at just 14 years old and has won the senior Scottish cup with Su Ragazzi, his current team. One of his notable sporting achievements to date was winning his regional 'Junior Sports Personality of the Year' award.
Andrew, who attends Carluke High School, is definitely a name to look out for in the Scotland West team at this year's Games.
Volleyball forms one of the ten sports being competed for at the Sainsbury's UK School Games 2010.
