DCMS is the lead Government department for the School Games and is investing £2m into the inaugural School Games National Finals at the Olympic Park next year. DCMS is committed to using the inspiration of the London Olympic and Paralympic Games to help rejuvenate sporting competition in schools. The inaugural 2012 School Games Finals will provide the perfect platform on which the most talented athletes can showcase their abilities, as well as inspiring other young people to take up competitive sport through the School Games.
