Location
If you look on a map of England, you'll find Sheffield is about as 'in the middle' as you can get. This means that we're in a great location, and easy to get to where ever you are travelling from. The national network of rail routes provides excellent train services into Sheffield, or if you're travelling by road the M1 and the M18 will bring you right into the city. If you're travelling from further afield, there are international airports - with domestic and international flights -less than one-hour away.

Getting around Sheffield
Sheffield city centre is reasonably compact and very easy to walk around with pedestrian precincts and great signposting. The public transport network around Sheffield provides regular bus services to all parts of the city (if you've waited more than 10 minutes, you've waited a long time) and a modern tram service which runs through some suburbs and into the city centre, and passes the majority of our modern sports facilities.
