Half of English schools will compete in the new Sainsbury's School Games competition, Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt has announced today.

Volleyball will be hosted at the University of Wales Institute in Cardiff (UWIC) alongside Fencing. For the first time ever a Welsh team will be involved in the competition when both a boys and girls teams will play an exhibition match on Sunday 6th September.
Teams from England (Central, North, South), Scotland (East, West) and Northern Ireland will be competing for the crown of Champions in both the boys and girls competition. All the teams will all be gunning to dispose of last year's championship, Scotland East in the boys and England South in the girls.
Volleyball gets under way on 4th September at 12.00pm and will have competition through to 6.00pm on Sunday 6th September. For tickets call 0844 847 1658 or visit the ticket section of the UK School Games web-site.
