It's official, 2012 is here and so is the new and improved School Games website!

Swimming is one of two sports for which squad lists are confirmed so far. The list comprises the highest performing competitors of school age, representing England Central, England North, England East, England South, Ireland, Scotland North and West, Scotland South and East, and Wales.
"The announcement of the UK School Games Swimming Squad marks an important step in the sporting careers for 206 upcoming athletes," said Campbell, the UK School Games Ambassador.
"I look forward to watching the swimming competitors at the Games in September," he said.
The UK School Games will be held from 3 - 6 September, with Swimming events taking place at Wales National Pool in Swansea.
The UK School Games is the pinnacle sports event of for young people competing in the UK. As a major multi-sport event it showcases elite athletes across a range of sport genres. The UK School Games is designed to create a legacy whereby young people of all ages and abilities can aspire to compete in sport, become leaders, volunteers and technical officials.
The Youth Sport Trust, which is responsible for the development and organisation of the UK School Games, works across a range of initiatives and programmes to increase young people's participation and enjoyment of physical education and school sport.
